TeamLesbian's Twitter
I started Team Lesbians on Twitter in May of 2010. Initially, my main reason for creating the page was to find other lesbians that were on Twitter without having to constantly search through the hashtags. I never expected Team Lesbians to take off the way that it did and I never imagined having so many followers. I have always been passionate about connecting with and helping other LGBTQ individuals that face numerous struggles due to their lifestyle, so I decided to turn Team Lesbians into an actual company in January 2012.
It has been a very long, enjoyable and rewarding journey and I pray that it does not end anytime soon. In January 2012, several moves were made to make Team Lesbians official. Some have come and some have gone, but the brand is and always will be here to stay! So that about sums up the history of Team Lesbians; although, I see the story continuing to grow in the coming years.

Please note: There are several changes taking place behind the scenes with Team Lesbians, but one thing that will always remain the same is Team Lesbians commitment to the LGBT community. Much like, with life, some people are here to stay and others aren't. I feel that it is imperative that our members know that each of us (both present & past staff members), love the community and remain committed to it.

My name is Maliyah and I'm 28 years old, currently residing in Columbus, OH and hoping to move to Atlanta next year. I came out when I was 15 years old and continued to live in hell because of it. Through my several up and downs with members of society that deemed my sexuality an unacceptable sin, I came to love myself. I?ve been through it all and I decided that I would dedicate a large part of my life to helping others in the LGBT community overcome adversity. I am the sum of all of my experiences and this is what led me to create Team Lesbian?s, a place for all of us! We are here to give and offer support, advice, and fun among many other activities. Thank you for rocking with Team Lesbians, xoxo.
